Booking for 16

  • Tastings are by reservation and group sizes are often capped, so we may need to split into two times.
  • It's the Saturday before Thanksgiving, so book early.
  • Pairing one Lawrenceburg stop with Woodford or Buffalo Trace keeps the driving short.
  • Pick designated drivers per car.

Service notes

From the branch letter, Sept 2, 2026

In the territory

  • Work only inside the boundaries on the Unassigned Territory Boundaries sheet. Don't subdivide it into numbered sections.
  • Offer the Enjoy Life Forever! brochure. If they already have it, other literature is fine.
  • Carry a variety of tracts for not-at-homes and people who decline literature.
  • Call at every home, even if a map shows it uninhabited.
  • Try to start a Bible study on the first call. Make return visits on strong interest; as time allows, revisit not-at-homes and general interest.
  • In bad weather, work a town; rural roads may be unpaved.

Recording interest

  • Record all interest on the Record of Interest form (S-277). Copy it as needed; don't make our own.
  • Give each interested person a unique number in the "Map key" space, and write that number at their location on a fresh map.

If police stop us

  • Don't discuss legal rights. Leave politely and promptly if asked.
  • Then Travis and an elder from a neighboring congregation call the Legal Department: (845) 306-1000.

After the trip

  • Door-to-door stops when the assignment ends Nov 26. Visiting, calling or writing people who showed interest is still fine.
  • Send the marked maps and Record of Interest forms to the nearest congregation(s), not to the Territory Desk.
  • Report on Territory Seldom Worked (S-273) due before Dec 26, 2026. An elder emails it to the Service Department from jwpub.org with "Territory Desk" in the subject. Experiences go in a separate document.
  • Neighboring publishers who join us in service count on our report.
